The Tunisian Women Mathematician’s Association (TWMA) is a newly founded association by a group of Tunisian young mathematicians in June 2015.  https://tunwma.com/

The TWMA organizes its First Meeting May 12, 2016 at the Science City of Tunis.

The theme of this first meeting is:

Mathematics, a profession of the future.

On this occasion the TWMA pays tribute to the first three Tunisian women mathematicians : Ms. Fatma Moalla Miladi , Mrs. Leila Aïdi Lassoued and Mrs. Hager Bahouri .

The purpose of this meeting is to bring together Tunisian mathematician women and publicize this association with them with the aim to mobilize and motivate women researchers in mathematics and to create links between them and their institutions to enhance the scientific exchange and mathematical research in Tunisia. In an effort to make themselves known and to promote Tunisian mathematician women to African, European and international scale, the TWMA is honored to receive for its first Meeting Madame Marie Françoise Ouedraogo, President of AWMA (African Women in Mathematic's Association), Mrs Schehrazad Selman (Vice-President of the AWMA, North Africa), Marie-Françoise Roy, President of IMU's CWM (International Mathematical Union's Committee for Women in Mathematics), Colette Guillopé, responsible for relations with the Ministry of Education and Research and Monique Pontier, Assistant Secretary of the Women and Mathematics Association.
