Second meeting of AWMA west african chapter

The Nigeria Women in Mathematics has the great pleasure of inviting you to attend the Second Conference of West African Women in Mathematics (WAWM). The conference will be held at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, from 25 - 27 June, 2018. There will be a one-week pre-school conference on Financial Mathematics, 17-23 June, 2018.

The main objective of this conference is to bring together women in Mathematics from various Africa countries to present their most recent work, and to provide a platform that promote and foster networking, collaboration, and mentorship between young and established researchers in different fields of Mathematics in Africa and beyond.
The three-day conference will feature plenary sessions, invited talks and contributed talks from speakers representing various Africa regions, and a poster session. These talks will cover different fields of mathematics, ranging from abstract mathematics to applied mathematics. The conference will also feature a symposium. The aim of symposium is to discuss the state of Mathematical Science education in the continent and what could be done to encourage more women especially our girls to pursue a career in mathematics.
The conference will be preceded by a one-week school on Mathematical Finance from 17-23 June, 2018. The aim of the school is to provide a wide overview on Mathematical Finance and its recent advancements.
